Dear colleagues and ISTD members

I am writing to all of you who have joined the International Society of Teledermatology since its inception and first congress held in Graz in 2006, to cordially welcome you to attend and participate in the 6^th World Congress of Teledermatology which will be held in London, UK on 14-15^th  October 2016 at the Royal College of Physicians.

I very much hope to see as many of you as possible at this exciting conference, which will be the next major biennial event of the society.  The congress will include plenary lectures from worldwide experts and the final programme will hold sessions on teledermatology in the UK and around the world, skin cancer triage, teledermoscopy and teledermatopathology, mobile teledermatology, e-education, and new technologies.  If you would like to join us but are unable to attend in person there will also be a virtual registration category to follow the conference online at a reduced rate as previously introduced at the 5^th World Congress in Barcelona 2014.

We are now calling for submissions of abstracts as oral presentations or posters.

During the congress we will also be holding the International Society of Teledermatology grand assembly to which all members of the ISTD are welcome.  I hope that you have noticed the new ISTD website but this now requires input from the wider membership to bring it to life with inspirational global content and volunteers to take a more active role in the society.  As president, I would be delighted to hear from members about their ideas and views on teledermatology as well as the future of the society.
